Terms of service
Last updated 18 August 2026
These terms apply to work carried out by Next Nest Home Services LLC. Your written estimate is the controlling document for scope and price; these terms cover everything around it.
Estimates and pricing
Rates published on this site are current starting points for our Nassau and Suffolk County service area. Your written estimate - issued after the free consultation - is what governs your project. Hourly work is billed for hours actually worked by a two-person team, with a four-hour minimum. Fixed-price work is billed as quoted.
If we discover conditions that materially change the scope - hoarding conditions, hazardous materials, access that requires additional equipment - we stop, tell you, and revise the estimate before continuing. We never increase a price without your agreement in writing.
Scheduling and cancellation
Dates are confirmed in writing. Cancellations more than 48 hours before a scheduled start incur no charge. Inside 48 hours we may charge for the first scheduled hour per crew member to cover committed labour. We apply the same standard to ourselves: if we cancel inside 48 hours for any reason within our control, your first hour is free.
Your property
Nothing is discarded, donated or sold without your instruction. Cash, jewelry, documents and photographs found during sorting are set aside and handed to you. We are licensed and insured, and we will provide a certificate of insurance on request.
We ask that items of exceptional value or fragility be identified before work begins so we can handle or exclude them appropriately.
Estate sales
Estate sales are conducted on a commission basis as stated in your written agreement. Items are priced using researched market comparables. You receive an itemised settlement statement and payment within the period stated in the agreement.
Installation work
Televisions, mirrors, shelving and furniture are installed to manufacturer specifications and anchored into structure wherever the wall type permits. We will tell you before starting if a wall cannot safely carry the intended load. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects in walls, fixtures or supplied hardware.
Payment
We accept cheque, ACH transfer and major credit cards. Larger projects are typically staged: a deposit to hold dates and the balance on completion after the final walkthrough. Invoices are due on receipt unless your estimate states otherwise.
Liability
Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the services provided, except where the law does not permit that limit. Claims relating to damage must be raised at the final walkthrough or within seven days of completion so that we can inspect and put it right.
